I consider the one-extra-mouse-click worth the time to remind me that a workbook I might This is about the safest, most convenient (or least inconvenient) setting - it is the setting I use on my system, and darned near all my workbooks have macros in them. ![]() This will alert you to the fact that there are macros in a workbook that has them and allow you to choose whether to Enable (allow to run) or (do notĪllow them to be used) the macros in that workbook. On the tab, I recommend choosing the Medium setting. You may have to expand the list at that point to allow you to see the option "Security" (it's in same list with Macros option). It sounds like you are using Excel 2003 or earlier?
